Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. and Justice Clarence Thomas joined in the dissent. In his separate dissent, Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. wrote that, in order to hold a statute unconstitutional on its face, the Court must find that the statute is unconstitutional in every application.
